I’ve always wanted a smaller skiff type boat to run marshes. Would also use on a reservoir or two, but only in sheltered water. Who has run both or either....which to pursue and buy? I probably go with a long tail on this boat as our marshes are of a harder bottom than most so “digging” in with the long tail can be helpful in the very shallow water. Thanks for the input. |

I've got a 17 Prowler and love it. I don't think you can make a bad choice here. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

I have a 1636 GD skiff and I use the hell out of it. The phowler is a great boat also, my bud has one. If your strictly using for ducks. Go with the phowler. But I like to use the GD for more utilitarian stuff like gigging, running trot lines, trapping and fishing small crappie holes with my son. I think it’s because the GD has a larger cockpit space (however big 1636 can be. Lol) Both boats will get you places most won’t... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
