looking for some pods for the back of my 1436 alumacraft. I like to get some built and welded on the back .I saw the ones you can buy from beaver tail but still have to get them welded to the boat . Got a price from my local weld shop in my town and lets just say i could buy 3 bradnew boats for what they wanted to build them for im located in SETX thanks |

they would be really easy to build on your own, but obviously you cant weld alum. so if you wanna save money, ask what he would charge just to make welds if you prepped the metal. it's easy to get it all cut and bent. make sure there's no gaps in the folds, let him weld it. go to beavertails site and they have full instruction on how to install bolt-on pods, i dont remember how they did it but they're probably not as strong as welding it on. |

Not very close to you, but if you want a good set of pods that are matched to your boat for a good price... He knows what he is doing. Try Andy up in Marshall. He does good work for a good price...and hell of a guy... |
