 Side or Center console?
I'm tryin to decide between getting a side or center console on my 18ft semi-v, hunnel hull G3. I'm putting a pop up blind on it when the season opens back up but wanted to get ya'lls input. SHould i go with the side or center console? Which would be easier to use in a pop up blind? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

 Re: Side or Center console?
I am going to hitchhike on your thread cause I am looking at adding a console to my boat.
I think I want a side console so that I can still walk down the middle of the boat with the blind up.
What do ya'll think?

 Re: Side or Center console?
I got a side console because it keeps your boat wide open. The only thing that sucks about it is you'll wear your back out if you stand and drive.
Still, I wouldn't trade my side console for a CC any day.

 Re: Side or Center console?
I got CC in my PD boat because I like to stand up and drive, and I don't use a blind. my boat is only used for transport. AND... it looks cooler. But I think for practical purposes, side would be better. JP has a center console, and if I'm not mistaken, I think he was able to make a blind work on his boat.

If you want a side console but like Standing to drive I would say get you one built like quackconsumers. It looks to be the shiznit! I have also seen a guy that raised his sde console and it turned out real nice.

 Re: Side or Center console?
If you like da idea of bein able to stand and drive a center console but don't wan't it to take up to much room and also don't like how low a traditional side console is. Then an offset console like I have is da way to go. You can see da pictures in da link in my signature.

 Re: Side or Center console?
Tried both and the center console worked better for me with a blind and also driving!

 Re: Side or Center console?
I am a fan of the center console..
walk around for space..
and I think it is easier to balance your load... If you only have one person in boat, you are centered, if you have two you stack, if you have three, on center, one on either side...
balanced load makes boat handle better....
Most blinds will clear...
just my .02

AND... it looks cooler.
bout the same idea as a t-top w/ rocket launchers, Looks good, but in your way a lot, and don't shade much. If i could change my CC I would just make it smaller. I like it it just takes up too much room in my boat.
