17x54 Gator-tail boat with 35hp GTR and MM exhaust (boat/motor 3 yrs old)

Big Thanks to Jamie B. for selling me the console (on MMT) saved me about a grand

Big thanks to Kyle@GT for getting me in working within a limited time frame.

And a very special thanks to Mike@GT for working overtime to get my rig looking awesome!

When i picked up the rig on Saturday, i ran out to the lake and took it for a spin...wow, that steering blew my expectations out of the water...unbeliebable how nice it is. Literally can go with no hands on the steering wheel. Now for some pics...

We moved the gun box to the front to give a little room to get around the console. Also moved a seat base torward the front as well.

added a seat pedistal--

Really very happy with the way it turned out!!

Well, we were already behind the 8 ball trying to get everything done so that i could get the rig on Saturday...because i was leaving to come home early sunday morning...there was rain in the forecast and they were going to have to take the boat to a different location to do the welding...and it was really not a big deal for me...i've learned how to anticipate the sliding, i just figured that while i had it down there, if it wasn't a hastle, i'd go ahead and have it done...well, turned out it would have been a hastle..for Kyle, Mike, and me.

When i got home yesterday, i cranked it up in the driveway and put in gear and got it up to 4090.

The hole placement is in the middle where i've always had it, so that's not it...but i did trim up while on plane until i started losing bite...like i said, in the sweet spot, 3500ish was all i could get and usually runs 3800ish.

They took my carb off and put on a new one...that's the only change to the motor.
Prop is the same
Possibly added weight from center console, but i doubt it...the boat was totally empty...I typically run with 12 gallons fuel, trolling motor, another battery...doubt the console weighs that much.

Is there a separate screw to adjust the rpms at WOT...different from the idle rpms? If so, where is it located?
Thanks,
Woody

maybe a stupid question....what is that pedal under the console for, is it for the reverse?

Author:  Tulsa_Woody [ Thu Apr 29, 2010 1:20 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Tulsa Woody's face lift...(pics)

Yessir, that's exactly what it is...flip the switch from forward to neutral...then step on pedal and that engages the reverse.
