 10hp Surface drive build

Post 10hp Surface drive build
I am looking to put together a motor, and I am looking for some opinions on gear ratio, and prop size for a smaller motor. I was thinking of doing a 10hp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

9x6 36 top 44 bott 1.2 ratio or go 1.5 ratio 9x7.
