| Post subject: | PD Stock 3 blade vs Tiger prop |
I got jammed up in the sand really bad a couple weeks ago, alone, with the tide starting to fall and a long way from the ramp. Boat was shoaled up in about 4 inches of water on the sand. Front end was floating enough to push around a little but the rear end was impossible to move with the skeg in the sand. I had to make some quick choices to get out of there. Walking wasn't an option as I was stuck on the island side of a slough. I decided that creating a wash out in the sand with the prop was the only way to move the boat sideways and get it into enough water so that I could get out of there. It worked but now I've got the sharp, scalloped and shiny prop on my 27 Kohler PD. Obviously this started me thinking about a replacement. I've got a 3 blade on it now and have been happy so far. I'm wondering if anyone has tried a Tiger prop on their prodrive in lieu of a stock unit? It's not about price, I'm just looking for the best I can get out of the motor. Any advice?? other than get a bigger motor!! |

As far as I know they don't make a tiger prop for the pd yet. |
