Is one better than the other? I have been told that the Gt big blade is faster than the MB big blade. Is this true? why do the GT big blade cost 245 and the MB big blade cost 189? The MB big blade says "Guaranteed fastest mud motor blade on the market" Please tell me which prop is better. If you have ran both let me know what you though.

Heard the "fastest prop" claim from MB too - yet not one person
I know has recorded any better speeds on their GDSD with the MB prop
as compared to the new 2 or 3 blade GDSD props....

I even asked if Chops would let me give the MB prop a trial, so I could
post up a revue....

But got no reply...

I compared the two side by side on the same rig, same day and the GT prop was better than the MB.

the guy who i bought my rig from had the mb big blade on it. Well, i ended up cracking my prop shaft housing and had to bring to gator tail to get fixed. Hoyt wasn't too happy to see the MB prop on there. He said theyve been known to get out of balance a lot easier thus causing viabration leading to carnage. I had them put the GT prop on but I havent had a chance to run it yet.

Thats interesting....

I'm a bit confused by that longtail in the pics...

But - I assume you have a GDSD mounted now... That is an interesting hull
design - I saw the pics in the other thread - very nice looking rig - I bet it
corners well with that "double tapered" design - not sure what your mfg calls
it but it looks very similar to the Excel "double taper" design.....

Your improved results and near 25 mph top speed might be similar to LaBirdMan's
improved results at similar speeds with the MB Big Blade prop.....

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say - ya'll benefitted from going DOWN to 10 pitch
from the 11.5 to 12 pitch of the GDSD 3 blade prop - because in the other thread you
stated that max performance came below 3750 rpm...

I get max performance on my GDSD 3 blade @ 4000 @ 30mph-ish deep water
and max performance on the GDSD 2 blade @ 3900 @ 31mph-ish deep water

GDSD - Stock engine - light GDSD tapered hull 16x48 design - 6 gal fuel and me @ 220
