Has anyone used his surface drive props; and if so how did they perform? |

Guess no one has tried his propr yet. Was just wondering, I have a Mud Buddy mini frame with a 3/4 threaded shaft and my prop sizes are limited. I do not see how Hopkins propellers are worth so much, he is like $150 more than the mud motor manufacturers props. Anyhow guess I will just do like most of you, experiment and hoep the wife gives me more allowance. lawd dey |

I know that I was trying to get them to make me a prop for a scavenger, which turns opposite of all other motors, and they were unwilling to help. |

Looks can be deceiving; performance is what counts; I emailed them and they will bore prop to your specs for $60 extra. I used his regular longtail prop a 9x7 and it performs well, actually I am running that on a homemade shorttail cvt 6.5 hp and run 14.9 mph with 2 people on a 1436 tunnel. |

I bought one last year. I think it was a 11x10 surface drive prop. I was trying it out on my 31 GDLT. Now that I have the surface drive, I may try it just for kicks. Wasn't too stout though. Probably won't last long if I run into some sand. Buddy of mine burned out one of his longtail props in about 30 minutes one morning trying to get off a sand flat. |

Consider yourself lucky. I know I burned damn near 1/4" off mine in less than 5 min. |

I'm speaking of a Ron hill prop. The prop he sent was a thin prop and said it was a speed prop. It was fast, but got so hot running in the sand that it went from 24mph to 14mph. When we looked at the prop, it had reverse cup to it. |
