Can anyone give me an approximation on the amount of 80w-90 it will take to fill the lower unit on a PD 36 after the old oil has been completely drained? Ounces please. Thanks.

Its about half a quart or 16 ounces. Have the plug out of the side of the gear housing, fill from the bottom hole near the prop with the engine level until it starts to come out out of the hole on the housing. Should be around half a bottle.

it a 1/4 npt thread. I made an extention using 3/8 fuel hose and slipped it on to a 1/4 npt threaded 3/8 hose connector. works great with the tip on the bottle.

Owen.....thats de ticket! I got a gallon jug with a pump, but was looking for a way to screw something in the drain to stop dat job from being such a mess!
