Does anybody have any suggestions on the best way to get the prop off? I have got the end nut removed and can not make the prop budge, just trying to make sure I don't damage anything. I have a new prop coming and am looking for any suggestions you guys have. Thanks |

Is it threaded? I just took mine of my GTR and it wasn't threaded. Just a big lock nut and once I removed it the prop came right off. |

Spray your prop down with a can of freeze off from Autozone and then hit it with a board and hammer and it will come rite off |

I use a large pipe wrench on the inner hex - let it contact the cav plate - then use a 4 foot 2x4 for leverage wedged between a blade and the center threaded shaft - put your weight into it and if it doesn't release - carefully use a propane torch and heat the center of the prop to expand it - but do not heat it too much or you will damage the shaft seal.... Have heard of using boiling water to get same effect and prevent seal damage.... Put plenty of grease on at re-assembly.... |
