Mud Buddy 35HD prop removal help please
So after a while of messing with it, I finally got the prop nut off. Boat and motor are new to me so haven't done this before. How do I get the prop off? I'm hesitant to hold the threads tight as I don't want to strip them. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Also, anyone know if the nut is supposed to be torqued when put back on? And if so, what size is it? I got it off with a crescent wrench.

If it's a hex shaft....it should just pull straight off....it may take some persuasion. If it's threaded, gotta unscrew it.

Should be a hex just hit it she'll come off. When ya put the new one on just tighen it up good prop shouldn't move back and forth.

It's threaded. Turns entire shaft when trying to unscrew.

Re: Mud Buddy 35HD prop removal help please
This what I did last time. Go buy u a second nut 7/8 course thread. Put the first nut on followed by the second. You ate using the second nut as a jam nut. Then heat the prop hub up with a tourch. If you are not planning to use that prop again beat it off with a hammer while you hold the first nut only with a 33mm socket.
While u have the prop off make sure u grease the drive. Do so by taking the bearing cap off (reverse thread). Place a 1/4 #10 zert in the hole on the belt housing side of shaft. Fill till you see new grease come out of the bearings on prop end.
