I recently got a new 18x54 gatortail extreme with the 37 EFI. I'm looking at getting a different prop to try and push a load and get through the muck better than the 3 blade it came with. I think I can turn a BB just fine, but I would prefer the Hammer if I can turn it. Right now I turn around 4550-4650 WOT with the GTR 3 blade. Anyone tried one of these on the stock 37 or have insight? I searched around some but couldn't find anything solid in either direction

I think you would be able to turn it, if you can get 4650 rpm with a BB. Probably lower your WOT rpm into the 4000-4200 rpm range. It would definitely give you a better load caring capability, and maybe keep you off the rev limiter. Is your gearing in the 38/46-47 range? If so I know you could pull it.

A PD can turn it stock, a GTR cannot. I've seen some try....doesn't work.
