Post Prop slip
I have a 1636 GD duck skiff that had a 16hp vanguard with a Thai long tail kit. I just recently replaced with a gd 20hp Honda crawdad, hoping to get a little more speed an a lot more durability. Setup run smooth at 3620 wot and 3460 in water. Only got about 13mph. Didn’t matter if I was solo at 240lbs or with another person also at 240. Hoping to help the speed and weight issue I removed 90lbs of saturated floor flotation and rebuilt the carb, adjusted the gov and tweaked the gov spring so I now get 4440 wot out of the water.
The problem now is I’m only getting 15 mph and any rpms over 3600 spins the prop. You’d swear someone grabbed the back of the boat. I had planned to purchase a new backwater 9x6, but I’m wondering if the old prop can be worked and used as a spare? Precision Propeller is local and I’m hoping this prop is salvageable as a spare..
It’s at 8.75” and appears to not have any cup whatsoever.
The prop-

The skiff-

Thanks in advance,
