Post Prop Alloy for welding
Hey guys im new here.

Ive got two hill marine props im running on my Mud Buddy 35. The river im on is all sand as you know it eats props. Ive got a brand new prop and a prop ive got about 60 miles on so far and it showing some wear. Id like to make the mold of the new prop so i can weld back up the old one. My cousin is helping me and he is a world class welder (welds military aircraft parts for his day job) so im in great hands there.

The number 17-5 stainless steel is stuck in my head that i saw that on the Hill Marine prop page, but its now gone. Im wondering for weld purposes if anyone know the specifics of the allow in those stainless steel props. Thanks for any help/info!

Most of them use 15-5 be sure and preheat your prop. But I don't know what hilll uses. I would definitely call them that way you don't have a mixed metal weld.
