Post 23 or 25 HP prop worked down to 9” diameter?
Has anyone had any luck having a prop worked down to 9” diameter? For a 23 or 25 HP go-devil, copperhead or gatortail surface drive. Hunting refuge with HP and prop diameter restrictions. If so what size boat and what kind of numbers are you getting.
Thanks in advance

Jay adore was doing them in SETX for awhile. They lost some performance, but seemed to do pretty good considering...

Assuming you’re in SETX If you have the prop restriction. Costal propeller in bridge city did mine and did a good job for a good price. Cut down diameter and added as much pitch as they could. Works for being legal but don’t expect it to keep up with stock prop, especially with a load.

It's been a year since you posted about having a prop cut down to 9". How much did you use it and how did it perform?

Solo with light load it performs near stock. Add normal hunting gear and lost a few mph. Two guys and gear, about 5-6mph less than stock and takes a while to get on plane. Throw a dog or another person in the boat, won’t plane out and barges the whole way.

I used it every refuge hunt because I had a fed measure my prop early in the season and didn’t want to risk a ticket.

Got a little sketch a few times when the water blew out, did a lot of pushing a couple of mornings.
