my lower bearing on my mudbuddy
the bearing behind the ole prop leaks grease. i was testing out the new exhaust with the boat trailered and is it ok that a little grease comes out of the bearing or is the bearing shot

Re: my lower bearing on my mudbuddy
got it figured the play in the bearing in from1/16th to 1/8 inch which that is fine being its a water cooled bearing they tend to heat up and let a little grease out so bearing is good and if the seals are out ill be out only 30 bucks. maybe this will help others out as well

Re: my lower bearing on my mudbuddy
careful with that tiny. i had a bearing go bad on my old 31 sport. that bad bearing ended up scoring the shaft. i had a local dealer just send the lower to mudbuddy to get rebuilt. seals, bearings, shaft and freight totaled right at $500.

Re: my lower bearing on my mudbuddy
I posted pics of re-doing the seal/race on the MB forum.
Like Med said- a cheap fix for that rear seal and race (do both of them at the same time) so you don't loose bearings or your shaft.
