Last night while we were flounder gigging my trim quit working, I went to trim up and it was barely moving then just stopped. I pulled the relays and the control box apart and checked all of the connections. I got it to move one more time and it only moved about an inch and stopped. Any ideas on what I should do next? |

Mine went out when the motor had one hour on it... back in 2007. They replaced the whole unit under warranty, but it sounded it was common. |

I take it you have one of the GTR's with the controls on the handle? I do not know anything about those and how they are wired. Did you try to jump around the switch to see if it would move? I've seen the wires get a bad spot in them right where they go into the trim motor and it would ground out and not work. Thats about all I can give you at the moment,sorry. |

A buddy of mine has had 2 go out on him in 3 yrs. Switch the relays if it works its the relay if not you probably need a new trim unit. |

I jumped the trim straight to the battery and nothing happened so I sent it back to Gator-Tail. I got my new trim motor in this past weekend and put it on this afternoon. Now I am back in business. Thanks to gator-tail for the great customer service. |
