Well shit, I was hoping to make it this year, but once again have a wedding in no mans land ia. If people are gonna be out on fri I may be able to make it down for a few hours after work.

Wife called yesterday and water is dropping good. Lady said campsites are also dry. You guys normally bring a grill or do they have something at the sites you are able to cook on?

Koonce, there will be a few of there friday, probably early afternoon.

Ha, we usually bring a small grill and also a hanginig grill for over the fire

I drove through LaCrosse today and the water is definitely going down. We will see how much more we get in the next week and a half.

I believe we cooked over campfire an brought a turkey fryer base for the other cooking. Maybe mag10 will chime in, he the resident cooking essentials fe!

I also will have a small table top grill and camp stove with! Along with a coffee pot!!!!!!

My brother and I will only be down for the day on Saturday. What time do you all plan on being on the water?

We are usually through breakfast and ready to run by 9 or 10. If there are others that are coming in for the day, we will just set a time for everyone to meet.

As you come into the the park, the main access is right accross from the office. If you put in there and head south along the campground, you will see all of our boats parked in one area. I will also PM you my #. You probably have Smuggler's # also?

I will bring my bowfishing stuff with, in case we find some good places to shoot. My lights are easy to take off of the boat.

The ODB and I should be down there by 1 or so on Friday afternoon.

I'll be done with my 3 day a week oil change by 10 so gonna be on road after that. Should be there by 12.

I'd love to see what the boat would do with the work smuggler, but also hate to not see ya show up!!

yeah i'd like to compare it to mine that i did the heads intake and gutted exhaust this winter. Smuggler you deck the heads or just clean them up? Mine just got cleaned up. Can't tell a whole lot of difference until i load the boat up then you can tell i did some work. Also my prop was shot I replaced that this summer and holy shit that makes a difference.

I had them deck 30 thousands port and polished double agle cut on the valve seats with a map of befor and after on a head flow machine( coworker builds pull truck engines on the side) .

Looks like the river is still dropping pretty good. Should be around 7' on Friday. I was trying to pull up a comparison to last year at this time without a whole lot of luck... So far, the weather does not look too bad.

I will be leaving from the cities by 7 so i should be down between 9 and 9:30. I'll shoot Smuggler a text when we're in Lacrosse. Should be a great time!

Looking foreword to this weekend after putting my 11.5 year old hunting buddy down yesterday. It will be fun for me to get away and hang with everyone!

I'm bringing a small canopy. If you are going to take a shower at the campground, bring quarters. Don't forget a lawn chair.

Stars are aligning and I might make it. What time frame on Saturday for meeting? I will be riding over from MN side and meet up with ya somewhere.

guessin' 8:30- 9ish. If you are looking at the landing, take a left and we will be on the left a little ways out of the no wake zone. Maybe a quarter mile away from the landing.

Had some unfortunate health things come up with one of my dogs so won't be going to that wedding and will be staying in town. I will prob swing over for a few hours on sat. Anyone gonna have any kiddos there. Wondering if I should bring my 6yr old. He loves the river but would def get bord if he's the only kid.

Was nice to meet a handful of ya. Even being a local I will try and camp out next year and bring the fam. Would have stayed longer but my brother had some chit he had to do.

Definitely a good time today.

Ahaha, nope. Sold that rig that spring. Blew a leaf spring last year. That was a fun fix in 20 deg weather and dark.

From what I heard I missed a handful of guys that were out , i didn't get to the water till close to 3

Was nice to meet you both. There are some great areas to check out. We didn't even begin to touch the expanse of that area. Maybe next year we can hit up some other areas.

I missed ya on Sunday. Swung thru the camo ground about noon with the prop to try it out but everyone was gone.

I had a awesome time, makes a guy wish weekends like that wouldn't end. Anybody got any more pictures to post?
