I know where there is a shit ton of Mowa Indians over that way, in case you ever want to talk to them. Them som bitches are crazy as a run over dog..

Re: South Alabama Mud Run If there are cajuns in Alabama, they would have to be descendants of people from Nova Scotia (originally from France) that were put out by the British in the 1750's.
The term "Creole" was a term that applied to anyone that was born in the new world especially of french but spanish descent also. But could have included any ethnicity. Like blacks, whites from any country. It just meant "born int he new world" at first.
Then it took on a definition of mixed race of black and french/spanish and could have included indians too. Considering how the definition had changed, cajuns born in Louisiana would have been creoles, but again the definition changed. So Cajuns are not Creoles and Creoles are not Cajuns considering the new definition.
Cajuns are only of French descent coming from Nova Scotia. Creoles are now mixtures of French with white, spanish and black, but must have at least French in them.
So there are Cajuns in Alabama that settled there by 1780 after they were kicked out of Nova Scotia?

Re: South Alabama Mud Run Ok, think I'm gonna make this muther. I have to be in New Orleans Sunday to pick up at the port my wife and daughter who are coming back from a cruise. It'll be my 60th birthday the 29th. My plan is to leave Friday for Mobile, spend the night somewhere at one of the nearest hotels to the launch (not the Grand), ride Saturday with ya'll, spend then night Saturday and make my way to New Orleans on Sunday. I'll bring my GoPro to film the run.
I will need to do something with my boat Sunday and Monday in New Orleans. Can't leave it in the Monteleon Hotel where I'm staying Sunday night. Any suggestions?
