Post helping a rookie out
I've been hunting for years. Lots of big game and tons of birds but I have never been duck hunting. I live in San Angelo Texas (West Texas) and I don't think there is a lot of duck hunting around here. I am wanting to get into it but don't know where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Shouldn't bee too hard.

- Find out where/if there are any ducks around.

- Check the laws and get permission so you can hunt them.

- Spend shitloads of money and time and exhaust all your credit cards in the pursuit of said birds.

That's pretty much how it's done.

I will trade you a Poule Deaux and Teal hunt for a deer hunt.

Dude You got them big goose byrds over there and its all dried up. Find a aph place with some water and you won't even need decoys SET UP WIND AND WAIT FOR DAY BREAK! every puddle is covered up out there.

I was surprised at how much waterfowl were out the when they have water when I went out to Bradey. Mallards and Pintails every where. Year before it was dry and no birds to be seen.
