I am from Florida, I am looking for a duck lease for the 2013-14 season. Can anyone point me in the right direction on who to contact? looking for a private lease with accsessable public land close by. RV hook ups or park nearby would be great, or some other accomodations. |

alot of the delta around here is leased out and will be that way into the next few years, all farmers have leased all hunting rights off. the only place i can hunt this year is on the wma's. i used to hunt on tacket(heartland) fish farms but all of it was leased out this year. |

Man don't waste your time. To many Duck Dynasty fanatics in the MS Delta these days. The right WMA's in the Delta offer some great hunting. Just gotta put the time in. |

I live in and hunt the north part of the delta by sledge and I can promise you that what land is open is going for $$$$$. We leased out a pond two weeks ago for 5000$. We have the mallards and the geese for sure but for the most part every pond on our 4000+ acre farm is leased up. |

I watches some of Tackett fish farms ponds get leased out for 8 grand a pond a week before the season opened and the buyer was claiming that was cheap. |

I have seen a single pit blind go for 10,000 on our farm when the right people are fighting for it and last year two doctors got in a bidding fight over a 40 acre pond they both wanted and it went up over 23,000 for one season. |

23 grand for a blind. Yikes say your lucky and hunt it 25 days in a season and fill a limit every day you hunt. You are paying over 150 bucks per duck. That is ridiculous! Ill give up the sport before I spend 25k a year on a blind. Doesn't include lodge, fuel, equipment, food, etc. I would assume buy land and build my own damn habitat for what these Jibronis put in over a decade! |

I had two leases in Sledge, Ms this year that were both 25 acre levied rice fields. I paid $1000.00 a field. One had a pit and we built a blind on a sled. We paid $350 to pump water cause it was dry early. There are still some affordable leases you just have to search and knock on a few doors. Contact me if you need some help finding a lease. I know of several potential open fields. Bobby Snow. 662-629-0150 |
