Do you guys think a 27 hp prodrive would do good on a 15x42 tracker Jon boat? Tell me what y'all think.

i think it would do great. it would probuply hit about 16-23mph.

Too heavy, it will constantly have issues with taking on water and be a dog with a load.

Go wider or longer and definitely a tall transom.

no, not at all. I used to have the exact same set up. kept the boat about a week after I put the PD on it. It absolutely sucked. Plowed like a biatch and wouldn't plane. Sold the boat and got a GD hull, ran a hell of a lot better. You will absolutely regret it if you hang a pd on that hull.

I had a 27 pd on a 1648 tracker and it was horrible.

Hey look at my sig below my post I HAD the same setup but with a 27 mini and a 1542 tracker well it worked but loaded it sucked ass, I just got a new gatortrax 1754hd even though it only a 27 it's way better carring a load with the gatortrax than the tracker buy far I thought I was gonna have to buy a 35 for it but after my first trip it worked very well , fuck that tracker I'll never get another boat other than a mud hull.
