1750 Gator Trax with hunt deck 35mb
1750 Gator Trax with hunt deck Mud Buddy 35 HS - stock(for now)
Deep water - 23 mph Shallow - 25 mph
This was with 2 guys, 2 dogs, 2 dozen decoys and hunting gear. Motor was only turning 3700 rpm. Will adjust that this coming week, as well as add my stainless exhaust.

Re: New rig...
That was in the water. I picked up the rig Thursday and spent Friday putting the blind on. Didnt bother checking it before running the motor for the first time.

Re: New rig...
Yeah I think you could get 3800-3850 rpm's in water wit your set up. But don't let your out of water rpm's get above 4250, unles it's not factory any more.

Re: New rig...
Yes I was going to set it at 4150-4200 out of water this week. I have and exhaust system for it I am going to install this week too. Have the carb in my garage, but probably will not put it on till after duck season. Thanks for the advice.

Not much difference with adjusting the RPM or the exhaust. Picked up 1 MPH in deep water, didnt gt into any shallow stuff. Put the carb on this week, will post up results of that soon as I can.

Re: 1750 Gator Trax with hunt deck 35mb
Well went hunting today after adding the new carb. Me, dog, gear and dekes- 27 in deep water at 4020 rpm. Seems a little slow to me, but I am satisfied with it. Boat runs great in the deep stuff and the shallow.

what is the layout of your boat? gun boxes, storage boxes, etc... i've been eyeballing the 1750 ss and just wondering what yours is. looking to upgrade from my little flatbottom and longtail sometime soon, kids gettin bigger and making longer runs across open bays.
thanks, bull

Re: 1750 Gator Trax with hunt deck 35mb
I have the guide edition, which has no flotation. Has decent amount of front deck storage. I have a half bench seat/storage in the back and a rod box on the left side with a removable rear casting deck. The rest is open with various seat pedestal positions depending on amount of passengers. I am very pleased so far with it. It may not be the fastest, but it has lots of room and very stable. Could hunt 4 guys comfortably out of it if necessary and fishing 3 out of it will be no problem either.

sounds good, thanks. hunting typically there is only me and one other. but fishing with the family sounds like there would be plenty room.

Re: 1750 Gator Trax with hunt deck 35mb
That was one of the reasons I got the size I did. I talked about it with the guys at Gator Trax and the 1750 was right for what I wanted to do. I usually hunt just me and one other guy too and there is more than enough room for all our stuff and two dogs. I suggest calling them and tell them what you want to do and they will steer you in the right direction. I was more than pleased with the customer service. They gave me ideas that I had not thought of that worked well and told me why some things may not work so well. Their experience with what works and doesnt work based on previous customer feedback was very helpful. Would be more than happy to give my testimony about it any time.
