Mud Buddy V Sport Remote Steer Not hating, but I'm not convinced that little bitty connecting rod from the steering actuator to the motor is gonna hold up on the first direct prop strike, especially at that angle! I'd carry an extra. I broke one on my offshore boat a few weeks ago just running in calm water. It was much beefier, and it's not made for taking any sudden, hard impacts. Granted, they all wear out over time, but that looks like a small problem turned BIG inconvenience just waiting to happen...

This load runs mid 29s consistently with a 55 MAG HD Sport.
Comparing that to what you're running I would think you would be closer to 29-30 MPH with the load you described. Is there something I am missing because of the vertical configuration and gears?
I am not trying to hate on your boat I am trying to figure out why you weren't getting more speed.
