Had this a year but am just getting a review posted.

1648 Phowler tall transom, tall sides w flotation. It's as open as it gets with no gun boxes or storage pods. I have since added a matching trolling motor bracket, gas tank bracket, battery bracket.

Stock PD 27 long shaft w FPR.

Speed with just me (260), 6 gallon gas tank, 2 batteries, and some spare parts was 22-23 mph depending on the wind. I tried a PD 36 on it and got 28 mph, decided to stick with the 27.

Very clean boat. I like the front end.

man looks good, looks like its built for war, should last a long time just buy the way it looks like its built....not bad speeds for a stock 27 either.

Them Phowlers look like some solid rigs...

Also like them USCG tags and floatation...

Nice rig! I really want a 27 PD. You otta let me put that on my boat to see how it would perform. Granted my boat is a short transom with tall sides. Im in Fayetteville, but hunt in Stuttgart/Clarendon alot. John

John I'd let you but you need a hoist to move one of these things. I put it on with a buddy one time......ONE Time only, about broke my back. I just wish it had about 10 more mph in it but it's definitley well built.

What speeds are you getting? I would be happy if I can get at least 15mph with a normal hunting load.

Be careful when hitting stumps and make sure you let go of te tiller before it smashes down on one of those big ass boxes in the back.
