Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
Got my Uncle J a few days ago and have been furiously working to get it painted and on the water. Had it on the water the day before yesterday, but I got stuck and had to shut the motor off. Once we got it free I tried to start the motor and discovered the starter had seized. Today we got it running and got some speeds.
3 People: 25 mph 2 People: 27 mph
I haven't run it by myself, but I have a few more days before I have to go back to Afghanistan and I will try to get some speeds when just one person is in the boat. I can say this about Uncle J's work, I hear nothing but compliments from everyone that sees it (to include the game warden) and it can take a stump at 25 mph like it wasn't even there. It glides on veggies and turns on a dime. I am very happy I went that route over many of the other brands of boats out there.
My buddy has some awesome video of this boat in action and as soon as I get it from him I will upload it to youtube and post it here.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
Thanks guys, there are no mods done, it took us a couple of runs to get it up to 27 but thats as high as we could get it to go. One day next week I am going to take it out by myself and try and see if I can break 30.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
What was your average speed with two guys? I dont think it matters how fast you got the boat to run at one point in time when the conditions were perfect for you to hit 27 mph.
Good lookin boat you built J.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
Prolly about 24-25, we got it to 27 on a open area on Mercer, but average all around is prolly about 25.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
Thanks, I attribute the speeds to the hull not the motor, so I am sure you will be pleased!

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
Nah, I know Uncle J isn't magic, he confessed that you helped with this one....
Confirmed the speeds again today with a diffrent GPS, 27 with two people and my lab. We actually got 29 for a few seconds but didn't maintain it long at all.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
It doesn't count when you toss the gps to your buddy in the front of the boat Na, I'm just kidding man. I'm sure there are a lot of people who wish their 36's would run that well. I know we wish my dads 32 ran like that...

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
I thought the 36's were running in the upper 20's with extra people and 30 was a guarantee if you were by yourself. Are my speeds really that high? After I posted them the first time and got the response I did I thought the GPS we were using was jacked up thats why I confirmed it.

Re: Uncle J 18X48 w/32 Prodrive
I'm guessing its the boat if I had to put money on it, no doubt the engine itself performs, but the only variable that I can isolate from everyone else is that (to my knowledge) there isn't another Uncle J hull running a 32.

Uncle J builds a damn nice haul. Brought the wife for a ride in the boat and she enjoyed it. She was impressed how the boat went through lillies, mud, etc.
