Got my first mud rig in the water this weekend. Everything went well. Sunday Taffey and I picked up a few nice channel cats and shot our first video. It was nothing hardcore, but the boat is going to work out super. Hunting ducks will be very different this season.

It's an almost new Phowler 16X48 with a Prodrive 27 hp (with manual reverse). It had 14 hours on it when purchased plus a "few more" now.

A month ago, I took it to Illowa Marine and had an extended deck and transom step installed. I added a bunch of other "stuff" to make it even more user friendly. Taffey likes the Hydo Turf and a Bimini makes it really comfortable for a dog (me too). We can find some shade when out in the heat. With the gas tank and battery now up under the covered deck, it makes for a clean, open look with plenty of room. This boat is a gem

Did you happen to get any speeds with your GPS I'd be interested in what you MPH you were getting.

My GPS is supposed to arrive tomorrow. The next trip out is planned for Thursday-Saturday this week.
I'll video the speed. The motor has only 16 hours on it now. It's hardly broke in. The "vid" I shot had the
RPM running at 3450. It wasn't close to wide open.

As for the Waterdog training forum, they seemed to have switched formats a few months ago and "gettting
back on it" hasn't been solved by me. With the amount of activity at that time, I really didn't follow up with
it. It's hot and rain is in the forcast. I might give it a look/see today.

Here's a couple of sets of cold blinds all four dogs have run recently. Training has been going well. However,
it appears Gunny has some physical issues. X-rays surprisingly revealed HD.
"#&^$&%!" pretty well describes my feelings about that.
