Got the New Dual rig out for the week up in Eastern WI. We ran in open water and in a local marsh This is the first time we have had it out in big/rough water fully loaded down. Conditions: Open water - Sturgeon Bay/Green Bay areas. Windy, 20-30 mph, rainy. Temp 58 Load: 2060 Extreme Hull with full TCBS Exteme Hard Blind, two gas tanks, 4 dozen dekes, Dozen goose blocks, gear for 4 men and two dogs. Speeds: 26.9 mph in open water in a 1-2 foot chop, some waves at 2.5 feet. The boat ran the big water great, it was smooth running the waves and nothing splashed over the front. The guys we had with us were amazed that this boat could run open water with waves that smooth. Marsh Conditions: Next day we ran in a local marsh. We had to take all food and supplies out to a hunting shack for the next two days. We had three men, plus a couple hundred pounds of food and refreshments, 15 gallons of water, cots, four guys cloths bags, wader bags, guns, ammo, you name it, the boat was full. Ran 27.8 mph up the marsh bay and in deep water canel to the shack. This rig is a dream to drive, it is like riding in a Caddy, smooth and fast. PW PICS: In the marsh: |

It is a very cool rig to run and hunt out of. Personally I like a smaller rig most of the time, but when I take my kids or two or three guest into the marsh I really like this setup, it has plenty of room, is warm and really hauls azz with a load of three to five folks with all gear and dogs, etc. The thing we like the most about the Extreme blind is everything stores itself, there are no lids to remove and store and the top sets up with just one support in a mater of seconds. With the overhead cover and the flip lids the birds never see any movement or glaring faces so working birds will get very, very close. We have had birds letting in 3-5 yrds in front of these blinds. nice rig and great performance, I got a 20x60 with hard blind single gd, stock block with modded heads, mikuni with black death intake and duals, 3 man load just under 20. I used to get 27.5 with a full hunting load with cam pistons and rod but could never keep a motor together long. I wish I had done duals. That hard blind sure is comforting when its cold or crossing open water. I bet dual props get going in the shit better to.I put a shaggy blind on my much lighter than fast grass and should last longer. Good luck JD |
