im going to a flat bottom boat a 1448 lowe but have a 29hp mud buddy sd and plan on welding pods to help float the motor but would like to know what u guys think is the boat to small for the motor. thanks

I dont think its two big make sure to get the pods tho that will help a lot I had a MB 23 on a 1448 crestliner with no pods and it did 23 with 2 guys im guessing the boat will be a rocket but thats not always a bad thing just make sure to pay close attention or youll get your self in trouble with that speed, my buddy got us stuck in a cattail bog because he was looking at the motor instead of where he was sposed to be going. Do you already have the boat if not I might think about getting maybe a foot or two longer with a 48 or 50 inch bottom and another thing is it a roughneck or just a regular jon
