Well might as well post my review:
Purchased Nov 2007 from Gator Tail
GTB1660/GTR35
7-1/2' rod box on Port side; Seat box in rear on Starboard side
Tiller control; 2 batts in rear (one on each side); 12 gals gas in front (9+3); built second motor position pin for middle trim hole. Went run in Vermillion Saturday 04/11 from Laf to Milton by myself. Planes quick, but speeds were maxing at 31.5 gps before porpoising too bad (maybe some wedges later). running at 4050 rpm's
Felt pretty good, guess moving that pin really made a big difference. In lower hole, only running 28.5 with r's around 3870. Never turned over 4 grand since I got the motor. Less than 100 hrs on rig, can't wait to get mods :P

I run 28 mph @ 3600 rpm in the middle trim hole. I wounder if i change holes if i could get more speed. What is the max rpm that you want to run.

Where are you trimmed at when running? Check out last weeks radio show, Hoyt said something about 4400 max?? Might not be that high. I personally don't want to be over 4200 stock, just my preference. Like to make my shit last.

im in the middle hole never tried bottom hole. In the middle hole WOT i can trim all the way up out of the water and rev. higher but slow down. Trim down to the sweet spot and get top speed @ 3600 rpm. I only get 3600 rpm when i rev. it in nuteral. I think if i can get 4000 rpm trimed to sweet spot that would be my top speed.

If you are in the bottom hole you can trim down about 3" more than in the middle and that makes a huge differance. My boat runs the best with the motor pinned in the middle but when I'm in alot of thick stuff I just run in the bottom.

Can you post a picture of the keel strip or PM me? Would be nice to stop the sliding if it doesn't hand up on stumps. I'm also curious to see if it has any effect on your performance after you grind off the wedges.
