Well figured I right a review since I had my motor modded. Hull 18x42 double tapered chine 6 2x2 longitude bracing 3 "ankle busters" lateral bracing 1/8 everything extended deck tall sides, tall transom Motor 08 pd currently 157 hours on the clock Long shaft, hydrolic trim, Fpr Mods Hoyt L, aka lil daddy did my mods heads .060, L/t preformance exhaust. advance timing. big cam Handling- double taper is awsome for what I do with running trails at wfo speeds and hard turns, downfall is if I was any bigger (155-160 lbs) I would need wedges to pick the butt of the boat up more, the 42in bottom from brother is stable, with how much he flares his sides out makes for great preforming and stable rig. And the cat walk he builds are great for walking around the side of the boat when the boat is loaded down, mine are about 5in wide. I have a small rear box for a seat which is the perfect size to be out the way but big enough to hold a few goodies, hard hat, jumper cables, extra oil ect. 18 foot is a great length but sometimes I wish I had a 20 footer honestly. But I can run me and two other guys 8 dozen decoys hunting bs and gd boat blind and be comfortable in it. Brother builds a fine boat with alot of craftsmenship and character into each boat. I love my pd, I wouldnt run any other motor, FPR has saved my ass more times than I can count, Instant would be nice but its not for me or the things I do with my boat. mods, I am finally getting all my motor "bugs" worked out, but ran a 12x14 a few days back and ran 32.8 with my motor, empty load, considering with a stock motor I was running 27-28 empty not a bad improvment, I havnt had a chance to truely "load" down my boat but I will post when I get a chance. The greatest improvement though out of the mods is throttle reponse and the low end torque I got out of the cam, I notice it in trails where you have a sharp hard turn that you basically have to slow down to a stop almost and get on it or you get stuck, where with my stock motor If I didnt do it right I was going to get stuck now I really dont worry about it. The L/t exhaust I realy like it, Its quieter than the orginal evt exhaust with same amount of flow, In my opinion. guy who makes them is out of south carolina, I dont have his number lying around but on the old forum stumpy posted info on how to contact him. I have nothing but good things to say about everything. Pd takes great care of me can argue with that, And customer service with ole capt. peck is great. brother, will build my next boat, because his great work, hoyt- he has fixed alot of things that wasnt under his warranty on my motor for free and is always there to help out and get me back up and running. And I am very impress with his customer service brother (337) 592-0200 hoyt- call gt to get in touch with him, rather not post his personal cell number on the www. l/t exhaust- old forum has info on them that concludes my review and now for pictures ![]() ![]() |

Tell us more about the exhaust. Is it a stock exhaust which has been modified, or does it come that way? |

its a custom exhaust build like that, I'm trying to find his number, its lying around here somewhere I'll post when I find it but its built like a stock one with the ceramic coating, Mine hasnt started rusting like a stock exhaust yet, and ran it all hunting season in salt water |

im happy with it and I dont have the need for more speed neither, So I am content, guess I can be a leader of the parades now ![]() yeh I had some bad luck, alot of my things I beat up on during hunting season caught up with me, and with all my differnt hobbies and school funds got tite for a while. And I owed it to everyone who has been helping me out with my rig a big thank you and some free advertisement ![]() but if i dont destroy this powerhead within a year I'm gonna be a believer in mods. only time will tell. I'm working on trying to get the info for l/t exhaust up here, but my house is a mess right now with spring break and all so bare with me. |

Hunter, if you would stop hanging around with Justin and quit chasing them sea donky's then you wouldn't have a problem with girls laying on the front deck ![]() |

almost 3 years of phucking hell, biscuits and 500hrs later no cracks, no dents, no kaboom, just pure satisfactions. Next boat will have a center console but I will NEVER not have a open layout skiff the function ability is to great to cluster fuck it. I run my motor under 4200 rpm's and I believe that's whats allowing this power head to last. just wanted to remind mmt members how real boats preform, run and LAST. |
