Hello,

Is there anyone that has a 20x54 GD SD boat that could give a report or numbers on it with the 35HP SD GD? I am trying to decide between the 18x60 and the 20x54 go devil. I already read about the 18x60 but have not seen any reports about the 20x54.

I will be mostly running rivers (Alaska). Silt on the large rivers and logs on the small ones. The small rivers are very crooked and I wonder if the 20x54 would be harder to turn fast. Also I would love to know what water depth the 20x54 can go in compared to the 18x60.

I would go with the lighter/smaller boat.

when loaded down you need all you can get outta the 35

I would spend some time on a call to the factory and talk with Coco...

From what I know about the GD 54 wide - the bottom profile and taper
are the same as the GD 60 wide - they press them out of the same width
blank sheet and the 54 is 6" narrower so it can have 3" higher sides....

Since actual "footprint" in the water is virtually the same on the 2 sizes
load carry should be very comparable - but I would tend to think that
the longer narrower hull would turn better at WOT - but only slightly
better since the point of contact or taper is identical....
