Maybe I'm wrong but I can't see a 12 hp motor going that fast.

How much of a difference did you notice between the 10 and 12 hp?

Re: Copperhead 12 hp on a Tracker 1542
Duck, The difference is not just the speed, its all about the torqe for me. Before 3 guys was not an option, now it is no problem what so ever with 3 200 lb guys you can get 20 mph and still jump up quick. My 10 would not get near that and might not get on plane. I got more get up now than I ever thought possible with a little light motor.
