I just got me a 1548 G3 .100 gauge boat with a Yamaha 25 on it. The yamaha did not last 3 weeks in the weeds and mud in maurepas swamp so I sold it and got a new Go-devil 23hp surface drive 3 blade prop.. The boat does 22mph with 2 people in it and does 20mph with 2 people and all hunting gear in deep water.. 2 summit climbers, ice chest, 2 bows, and all the other little extras. I am happy with the motor I just want a thicker boat now with a slick bottom. .....Jessie

Maurepas is going to eat that lil boat alive! Get a tougher rig before that thing gets destroyed |

I know. I want a boat made of 3/16 aluminum with a 35 surface drive on it for next year.

lol.. i think ive seen u out there b4. ive got the skiff w/ a PD hangin off da back of it. modded out since then, i will def catch the praire on fire next yr!!! those MB boys got sum competition now!! |

Dont think it is me u see out there. My rig is only 2 weeks old. I sure would like some friends with mud boats though. I dont know anybody. I want 2 take a ride in a skiff with a mud motor on it. I think that is what I want next.

I live in Walker. Not any luck in Maurepas yet. I am still bow hunting it till feb 15th. Have not even seen a deer yet to be honest. Tracks all over the place and no deer?

Which part of the the management area yall hunting? I hunted it once last year and seen some does. Im prolly gonna bowhunt Manchac until the 15th after Ms. season closes. |
