Ah reckon I have talked to half of you through pms on the site. My gf's little bro bought a motor and went with the CH 18hp. For running these skinny waters around here it is perfect.

21 with two guys 26 with one over hard bottom loaded down. Need some good mud to run in. Next buy is a better hull. ;) Couldn't ask for more out of a 18hp motor on a less than optimal hull. In about 18 months I'll have one, cept strapped on a Rogue.

Is the prop driven by belt or chain?

Nice video. I have a Copperhead 18 also but your boat is much wider than mine but still seems to move along well. I also see the engine is different from mine. I wish I had known that pull start was an option. The electric start is really nice but I like having a backup.

The tide was high when I tested mine too so no mud flats. This weekend I am going to find a nice big dry mud flat and stop in the middle of it with another person in the boat just to see what happens.

Enjoy your engine and make sure you strap it down when trailering so it doesn't bounce (learned that the hard way).

Haha imma tell the little bastard you said that. That little som bitch is fearless. We straight up dry docked it on an island that he thought was grass. Long story short we had about 30 ft to push that sob.
