I am think about buying a 17x51 excel shallow water f4 boat. can i get some pros and cons on the boat and im also going be running the boat with a 29hp mud buddy hyper surface drive with the 32 inch shaft. what speeds yall think im gonna get with this boat and motor?? |

Get the 18 footer and you will need more motor either way. .125 aluminum... |

I have the 17x51 vf4 with a mud buddy 35 la special and im only getting 25 in deep water by myself so youre gonna need some more motor for that boat. The shallow water weighs 50 pounds more than the viper. |

I run the 1754 shallow water with a 45 Black Death and get 31mph by myself or 29mph with 3 guys. You will need more motor for sure - but the Excels are sweet boats |

ok thanks. i know the block on my 29hp is ths same as a 35 hp some im definatly going to put mods on the motor thanks |
