 New boat help
Currently I'm running a 1850 custom hull with a stock 36 PD. Can't get over 24 mph empty. When loaded, takes forever to get on plane (forgot GPS this weekend so couldnt tell). I really think the boat is built heavy. Its all 1/8" but thefalse floor that is welded in is 1/8" 5 bar tread plate. When I look at the tread plate, which is cool looking, the treads actually add thickness. So actually the false floor is like 3/16. The false floor and the decking in the front is this. Now...
Good friend of mine has same engine but has a hull built by extreme fab in belle river. He will walk me. But i noticed his floor is not welded down, its riveted. So my guess is the floor is .100 ga or less. Lighter thus faster.
Have a guy wanting to buy mine to put a tiller merc 60 so I need advice on a new hull. Hunt marsh and some sandy bottoms. Seen lots of reviews on uncle J's hulls (look great and people seem to be happy with performance). So what you got ???

 Re: New boat help
I'm thinking you probably have a problem with your motor, not your hull. Just guessing, but from the information you gave, that's what it sounds like to me.
