WOT out of water 4180 rpm's) Mods: Marshmellow, K&N air filter Speed: 25.2 with 3 180lb. men, 9 gallons of gas, grassed blind, 5 dozen decoys, cooler, hunting gear, in deep choppy water. I've seen speeds of just over 28 with me, my 5 and 8 year old sons, and hunting gear. |

Yeah you should be getting at least 3800's. That's a cool looking hull, but what's the gunnel edging on your chine for? I'd think that would slow you down. |

They said it added to the structural integrity of the boat and helps the boat bite in a turn. I'll post a better pic later with the transom tie downs removed. When I'm running my buddy who was running beside me said that only the last six feet of the boat is in the water. And only in the last few few is that angle even touching the water. I do know that the boat does not slide at all. It turns just as good as my old crimped bottom jon. |

From one Alumitech owner to another, nice rig. You've rigged out nice. I love taking a newbie to a bend in the creek and cutting it sharp. The extra piece of angle iron makes all the difference. I've see a few things I'd like to do on mine, but after changing the interior layout, painting the boat and putting on the Gatorglide, I'm done messing with it til spring. |

Nice boat. How did they brace it? I know alumitec makes some nice airboat hulls. That chime is interesting. For shallow water it seems like it would work. I'd like to see your reviews after you run through some thick vegetation and mud. Just like the Florida airboats are different than ours in Louisiana. I think that boat may do better over there in shallow water than in marsh mud and Lillie's like we have here. |

what pin do you have the GTR sitting on? Mine came on the middle pin, but I could only get around 3,500 RPMS with it on the middle pin. Also had some tiller torque on that pin. I raised mine to the top pin, and now I have to trim down just a little, but I'm running right at 3,750 in the sweet spot with little to no torque. Have to thank westendangler for that advice! |

You have your motor on the middle pin for the trim setting. Pull that pin & put it in the top hole and your RPM's should increase... |

DGuidry... Alumitech called and spoke to Kyle Broussard. Kyle gave them the exact transom height (for the tall transom motor)and angle specs (even though I had already done that for them). Like and good builder would do, they went straight to the source for the correct info. Also the side height on my boat it 24 inches (not the huntdeck portion of course). I have run it through a forest of 1-1.5 diameter 14 foot tall sapplings/bushes and just mowed them over. We have tons of lillies and they are no problem. I've also run it across a 10 acre smartweed field that was @4 feet tall and you could not see water... No problems thus far. That boat has bracing everywhere. The runners are 2x6 6061 aluminum. It turns so sharp you have to be careful you don't get tossed out. Surprised me when I missed a turn and yanked the tiller. If I didn't have a grab handle I would have launched. |

Got 6 hours on it now, 4 hours scouting and the other 2 have been to and from my hunting area leaving with limits. I put the GTR in the top pin and figured out the sweet spot for trimming asnd getting the RPM's up. It has quite a bit of tiller torque, might go back to the middle pin and play with it a bit more. Still need to tweek the carb per Calen's instructions to possibly get a bit more out of it. |

interesting how they built it like an airboat hull then welded a channel/angle along the chine to add planning surface... hmmm... that doesn't dig in the mud when you try to turn? |

We don't really have much mud here. We mostly run thick matted up vegetation over a sandy bottom. I'm getting just over 28mph with me, my 8 and 5 year old boys, and hunting gear. Add another 190lb. man and still getting 25mph. I will post better chine pics soon. I had to cross 1/4 mile of thick dead cattails that had been sprayed a couple of months ago. It was a thick nasty mess and thought it would give me some problems. I hit it wide open and that prop was slinging shit in the air 30 feet. Crossed it no problem, motor just jumped out of the water a few times. It did carve a nice trail through the stuff. |

ibfishin, I'll be looking for that cool rig on the Big O. The open, uncluttered floor plan is great. Did you put steelflex or frog spit on the bottom? I was worried about our lake earlier in the year when there was little water but we finally got the rains. If you were able to cross those cattails and phragmite, that's saying something. I used to have a place in Lakeport, sure do miss that but I'll be up after Christmas to hunt. Good hunting, it's been phenomenal so far! |

Been busy hunting... I'll get those chine pics up over the weekend. Hunting has been awesome on the northend. Been shooting divers for the most part (ringers and a few redheads) as well as a few BWT. I'll head to Lakeport next week and get in on the puddler action. I can't find the bill of sale, but I think the painted hull, all of the powder coated extras, custom speaker boxes, storage boxes, wire, etc. was @$6,500 (I guarantee my wife knows to the penny). |
