Here's the deal, I have a few buddies who have subarus and talk some serious chit! Saying there boat will smoke a gtr in the mud, lillies and speed. They are saying a surface drive wont go over 35. Well what's your speeds? Mostly towards modded motors.

What do you mean subarus? As in the inboard style mud motors?


You can get 40 mph from any surface drive, as long as you don't mind driving a time bomb.



And if it's the inboard style mud motors, tell them to stop on a high mud flat and see what happens. :lol:

There have been a couple that hit the 42-43mph mark, but it's not a "daily driver"

Yes, it's an inboard style. There boats are in the shop more than anything.

34 is the fastest ive seen on mine, but i can usually hold 32 at 4500 rpms on a cdi motor

There's nothing like a chevy v8 digging ditches. We have two of them for our lease one has a 350 and another has a 4.3. The 350 will run ever bit of 50. The mm are fun but you'll do shit in mudboats thats alot cooler

You have a point they are good in the lillies and run pretty fast, but are not reliable at all.
