I was there and was in the boat, its no BS. We ran 4 men out to the blind with full gear and we ran around 20ish, but no issue getting on step. When we came back in to the landing a friend of ours from the area met us there with his daughter to go for a ride, everyone climbed out and I asked them all to get back in to see if the boat would run with five men, his daugher did not want to go. We pulled out with five men (average guy 195#) and the gear listed, we took nothing out of the boat. It got on step without much effort and ran in the upper teens around the lake, even I was surprised as this was the first time we ran it with five men and full gear.

Next day we ran river with three men, heavy current, no issue, ran 21-23ish. Same guy ran it back to the landing to test some more, he had 4 in the boat, I was in his 1648 WE with 27PD with just me and one other guy and he left me in the dust, I could not catch him.

Good deal. It's crazy how much power them 27s have.....back in the day when Crews was running the 2036 with a 27 I was shocked when it stepped almost 1000 in deep water.

What gauge hull is the lite jon?

They are .100, however they are 5086 grade. We are the only boat company using .100 5086 for our lighter hulls. Everyone else uses 5052 grade, which dents much easier.
