Ive just bought a southern duck boat this past summer and was wondering if these speeds are alright for the load I'm carrying it's a 1748 with a 36 pd with 2 guys at 250lbs and a 50lb dog a dozen dekes and mojos blind bags etc..... I'm getting around 23mph is this good and if not what upgrades could I do without moding the motor put to much and this is in deep water |

For a stock motor on that bat with that load I would say thats fine. |

I offer opinions on thing I know about (mostly painting)and try to help. I try not to run off at the keyboard like a moron. I think the tread was about possibly getting more speed out of his boat. I offered some advise, you dickweeds ran off at the keyboard. Now what? Do you have anything to offer?

Hey frogger. I asked him a question pertaining to his problem. He never answered me. Therefore I can't help him. I know why it most likely is running slow. Also your astro glide on his boat would just be a band aid(if it even made a 1 mph difference). He needs to fix his problem then worry about something else |
