29 hp mud buddy hyper drive on a 1650 alweld solo I'm about 22 to 24 mph but with another hunter and dog and gear getting about 14 mph just wondering if a new prop is in order or what y'all think ? Thanks |

biggest speed with load killer on a mudmotor is a hull that is not designed for a a mudmotor. I guarantee you there are a ton of folks on here who have learned that the hard way, including me. If you have a grizzly, war eagle, semi-v, whatever and are getting good performance with a mudmotor on the back, consider yourself VERY lucky. A 29 is a big block motor and on a 16 foot mud hull (with a good prop) would tote the mail with that load. |

If your Rpms are not drastically low is would say your prop does need to be replaced |

If you're running the stock prop that came with it, it's probably not a big blade. Get yourself a MB big blade and you should see a pretty significant difference. I had a 31hp MB with the small prop and had the same problems, switched to the big blade, and it made a world of difference. |
