I planning on buying this 12 foot boat with a small v.Its not a modv or deep v.Plan on using it on the river and marsh. The big debate in my head is go with a 92 Evinrude 15hp short shaft.I would really like to put a mud motor on it.Has anyone tried and had good luck with a mud motor.

It's a 9 hp Honda roughly 12.5 lbs of tourque. Wasn't impressed with lct engines. I've had carb issues the last two years.

Yeah honestly my boat is a 1967 delcraft that I got for free. And surprisingly the mod v is the way to go for me. It handles like a jet ski and has so much power thru the two inch skinny water haha.
