Post Reinforcing ribbed bottom boat.
Hello everyone! First post but I've been lurking for a while. Lots of good info here along with some funny azz fellers! Anyway on to my ?. I have a 1760 weldbilt ribbed bottom of course. My ? Is, has anyone ever reinforced the floor with extra ribs in between the existing ribs or welded braces in between to help prevent hooking? I have a 35hp mudbuddy on her. She runs great, around 25mph with 2 heavy adults, 4 batteries, 12 gallons of gas, and bowfishing gear. The boat was free so I really don't want to buy a new one so I can sink money in my wrangler. I plan on putting gator glide on it as well to further help. Thanks in advance for any help!

i have never added extra ribs, but i have added angle aluminum to the broken or weak ribs before, while you got the welding machine handy, beef up the transom too.
also if theres any hooks or dents in the bottom, steelflex will be better for you,it can fill up some of these bad spots.

You will just end up with more dents inbetween the new braces.

I wouldnt waste my time.
