well i finally made the swap, from mb to gtr and i must say ITS AWESOME!!!
i originally wanted a 1746 with a hunt deck but after talking with hoyt and bubba at gator tail i went with the 1846 with a hunt deck, open floor with the removable gun box and k2 cooler for a half box. i ended up rigging out the boat myself and installing the led shark eyes.

with only 8 hours on the motor, i put the boat and motor on the bank in a turn in shallow water in the marsh, after hearing it from the wife, i trimmed it down and backed off the marsh. after that i had to turn to the wife and yell "GTR BABY!!!" lol.

we do alot of fishing, bowfishing and hunting and wanted a boat that we can get anywhere in and get back. the boat ran 28.3 with 2 men and a loaded ice chest and fishing gear in deep water. im very pleased with this boat and i really wish i would have gone this route with my first motor. for anyone reading this, save your money and get a mm on a mm boat, its a combination that goes hand in hand. ill get shallow water and deep water gps speeds if i ever get in the boat by myself. every time i put it in the water someone is always wanting to go with me.

with in the past month i have ran calm open deep water, swamps, marshes, mud with a little water, mud with no water and i even ran on the banks a few a time or two...well ran up on the banks. lol. about 2 weeks ago me and a buddy in a 1860 gator trax with a 60hp outboard on it went out to lake maurepas for a little ride to the sand bar, well the lake kicked up and the 3'swells were upon us in no time. while heading back i noticed the gator trax kept back a good bit and struggled the whole time while the gtb was like a green rocket flying over the gaps in the waves.

i have ran 2 people to 4 people in it and havent had any room to complain. this is my third, mm, so i guess the saying "third time is a charm" is right on this case. heading to grand isle in the morning to see if i can get out to the rocks and stack up on some reds and specs.
