Im a newbie lookin for some advice from the people that have been there an done that. Im lookin to buy a boat in the 15-16` range. I will be running the ky lake area in an out of coves, shallow creeks, some grassy mud areas and the big water some to. My question is what is the best boat/motor combo for what i will be running in ? The boat will be used for bowfishing, hunting an checkin juggs an trotlines. Would a surface drive b ok for this or go with a outboard motor ? Any advice would help me greatly. Thanks

Im on barkley all the time. A outboard will sufice. But a surface drive would be great. Just make sure you get one with a clutch. Neutral is king when it comes to mudmotors. You could also put a small longtail on the back as a kicker. I have done this in the past before.
