MM Brand:Mudbuddy Horsepower: 23 HP MINI Boat Brand: INSTAGATOR Boat Size: 1748 Reaction Chine Boat Layout: 5' Front Deck, 2 Compartment Gun Box 2 Built in Spud Pole Mounts Speeds | Shallow Water: 26 Speeds | Deep Water: 25 Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: Just a 6 gallon gas tank, battery and required gear. Conditions Tested In: 10 KNT Winds Comments: Finally got rid of the old Alumacan and upgraded to a real mud boat. Took a little longer than expected because of some unforeseen issues and the rain. YOU NEED A SHOP JAY!!!! ![]() Very happy with this rig so far. Drives like a dream, more stable and I get the same speeds I had with the Alumacan. Jay really did me right building this rig and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the finished product. I wanted something light that my 23 could push but then also be able to handle the Sport H later on down the road. I will update more when I get out again. If you have a small motor like mine this will definitely do the job!! |

I talked to him about it. He was able to keep the motor from falling in the drink. When he was pulling the motor in the boat the oil cooler cracked. ordered a new cooler and thats that. That could of been real ugly but thankfully everything ended up ok. I like the boat and from what I heard it scoots pretty good with that 23. I bet next time its in the water it has bolts holding it on though. |

The reason there weren't any bolts in it was becasue I was trying to figure out how far off center to put it. Once I got it right I kept riding (BAD IDEA) and slid into the bank. And yes the next time you see it on the water the bolts will be in. |

Post subject: | Re: 1748 Instagator 23 Mudbuddy Mini |
Might be a dumbass question but seems that would make a shit load of drag to get 26 out of a 23mini? Correct me if I'm wrong or if it's the picture angle. |

I like the boat. I like the idea that hes local also. I would love to build a 18ft 44in for my 23 gtr. i would like that floor plan reversed with the storage on the other side. plus a front storage bin a big one. |

I have ridden in the original one he built and several others. These boats perform/are built as good or better than some of the other custom boat brands. I dont get anything from this, nor do I own one.....yet. That is all I will say because he is not a site sponsor that I know of. |
