Im looking at getting a new boat because my current boat (1648 short transom) sits low in the back end. I run a 27mini and if i let off the gas too quick i take on water over the transom. Im looking at alweld boats, and wondering if i should get a 1648 with pods or a 1748. I like the width of my boat, just dont know what to about the length to solve the problem. Any suggestions would be great. |

No question get the 1748. I run a 27 mini on a 1748 weldbilt and I am very happy with it. I suggest getting a completely open floor plan to save some weight. |

Cheapest/best fix is make your motor and boat tall transom. |

Any regrets not saving up for a mud hull or have you been pleased? |

i have been very pleased with my boat but if i were to do it over again i would save for a custom mud hull and a 35 hp motor. |
