This is the wrong place to ask about an excel boat, Nice motor tho. Get a cheaper better built custom hull |

Whats wrong with him asking about a boat combo even if it deals with an excel? Im no expert but I'm sure it'll run the same as a MB 35 even tho the transom might be a few degrees different than what GT recommends. |

You can also do a search for any brand of boat or motor and find problems with any of them. The real hatred boils down to the little man over MB and Excel. They do have problems with their CS. Ive had my excel for over a year and a half. Only oblem Ive had is the flotation is not what they say it is. But the same goes for any of them that has it. The main problem you see is people buying .100 gauge boats and bombing through a stump hole then bitching about the dents in them. |

Take some time and read this before you make the decision: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28957 I saw a rig at a boat show a few months before I pulled the trigger on my build. Impulsiveness almost got the better of me. Boat, motor and trailer were at a really good "boat show price." I came home and started doing research on the boats and didn't like what I found. The above thread came up much later, though. Glad I waited to get what I have. |

Call uncle j and get pricing from him. He'll build to the specs you want, and he puts out some good looking boats. Just make sure your bracing runs all the way to the front. Stumps are heck on a rake!!! Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk |

ive read reviews on the excel boats some people say they love them then some say they hate them. i like the looks of the boat and would def. get the .125 hull. i mostly just run open water very little logs and no stumps but do run into the tide catching me every once in a while. now on the motor i like the gtr because of the reverse but am not stuck just on it also considered a black death 4500. |
