I have a 1754 grizzly with pods welded on. It porpoises bad. I was wanting to do the weld beads across the back but not sure where to put them with pods. Should i put them on pods or the actual boat itself?

Usually to weld something together the need has to touch both surfaces...

Just run 2 6' beads across the back one on each side

They weld a 6-8 inch long bead at the back of the boat on each side instead of having wedges make. Did you try moving more weight to the front of the boat?? Gas and battery mostly. What motor?

were the pods on there when you bought the rig? please tell me you didn't put them on.....if you can get them off, you should think about it.....pods typically don't mix well with surface drives.

anyways, I have the exact motor and boat and with just me in the boat it would porpoise bad. I relocated the battery and gas to the front, fixed the problem!

good luck

I had them put on. I like them they make the boat turn 10x easier

glad they work for you, try relocating the gas and battery if possible. That should work for you

They can be buggers to turn, especially at WOT
